I grew up in Mississippi and was inspired to paint by watching my grandmother and my Aunt Lallah paint. I paint in oils; my favorite subject to paint is all things French, which I do in an impressionistic style. My favorite artists include: Manet, Pissarro, Cezanne, and Pierre Bonnard. I also like the work of James Richards from Atlanta, and impressionist painter, who specializes in oils.

After receiving my Master of Arts in French, MATL, I taught French and continued to travel and study in France. My art was certainly influenced by those years, and I continue to enjoy painting scenes from Paris and the French countryside. I also love to paint scenes closer to home--especially, New Orleans---the joie de vivre captured in those scenes is reminiscent of my days in France.
