MEMBERSHIP FEES
Adult memberships start at $40 with full benefits; a member and spouse together are two for $60. Patronage accounts start at $100. There are several levels of Patron Membership.

GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY 
Periodically, our artists come together to use their art to support a charity. Near and dear to our hearts is the Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser event to fill food pantries in South Mississippi. Our artists create and donate pottery for the event.

The South MS Art Association welcomes fine art visual artists who use various media, and all skill levels are welcome. We have the following programs below to benefit beginner, intermediate and advanced artists:

JURIED SHOWS AND AWARDS
One of our most popular event of the year is the December Art Show, which exclusively includes the art of our members. The cash prizes equal over $1300.


MONTHLY ARTIST DEMONSTRATONS
Our monthly artist demonstration programs and periodic workshops give support to various other media


TOURS AND FIELD TRIPS
From time to time, SMAA arts will tour a museum out of town, gather at a beautiful plein aire painting location and other enriching activities.

WORKSHOPS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
In addition to classes, we periodically offer one-day workshops and 5-week workshops (once a week). They are often on weekends evenings, so both working and retired artists can participate. Previous workshops have included Beginner Pottery, Watercolor, Gouache, Acrylic, Encaustic and more.

ART CLASSES, ONGOING
We have regular, established adult classes in beginner/intermediate watercolor, intermediate/advanced sculpture, and advanced pottery. They are in the evening, so both working and retired artists can participate.
