I grew up in Picayune, Mississippi and moved to Hattiesburg in 1987. Work got in the way so I put my art aside for about 20 years. My first venture back into art was taking classes from Kym Garraway Braley at which time I fell in love with watercolor. I also enjoy acrylic, oil, graphite and colored pencils. I like painting animals and flowers but will try almost anything. I enjoy art as a hobby and maybe one day I will begin to sell more of my work. I admire a variety of artist with varying techniques. One quote that has stuck with me is from an artist that teaches an online course. Her favorite saying is “miles on the brush, just keep putting miles on the brush”.
